Job Title: Sr. Systems Engineer

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Job Duties:

Develop strategies to scale-out Linux & Bigdata deployments with automation and multiple distributions in Datacenters. Based on client requirements and data gathered in combined with the feature roadmaps for the clusters put together a capacity plan to scale out the cluster. Determine internal & external type of data sources– Database, File, web service, streams etc. Create and present a keynote on the captured requirements and impact analysis with business stakeholders. Create retention steps and procedures for taking the system/data backups. Design IP Management architecture which includes IP Addressing, Subnetting, and Ethernet Bonding and Static/dynamic IP implementations. Install and implement tools to automate cluster operations and monitoring. Installations of ESXI Servers, vSphere Client & VCenter Server applications. Develop data pipelines that ingest data from multiple data sources and process them. Develop Simple to complex Map Reduce Jobs by creating Hive tables, loading, analyzing data using hive queries. Build Solaris, Red-Hat and Linux servers for Production, Development and Test Environments and upheld the ones under production. Perform activities related to install, configure, and manage Hitachi Storage and Cisco Brocade Switches. Maintain the cluster and also creation and remove of nodes. Create, monitor and manage the File system. Analyze the storage data volume and allocating the space in HDFS. Resource management in a cluster environment. This involves new node creation and removal of unused ones. Configure Name Node to ensure its high availability. Perform Backup and recovery tasks.

Job Requirements:

Require Master's Degree or Foreign Equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field. Require one year of experience in job offered, Bigdata Engineer, Software Consultant or related, using HDFS, MapReduce, YARN, Hive, Ambari, ESXI, MongoDB, Bash. Require travel/relocation to various unanticipated locations throughout the United States.
